Sarah Gowayed
President & Founder
A homeschooling mother of three, Sarah Gowayed is an author, speaker, homeschool consultant, and co-founder of Tarbiyah Academy in Elkridge, MD. Sarah earned her B.A. in Journalism from University of Maryland College Park-Scholar’s Program and M.B.A. from Saint Joseph’s University. She is currently a student at Miftaah Institute’s Online Seminary. Serving as Scoutmaster of a local Scouts BSA troop, Sarah is passionate about inspiring youth through education, great stories, and nature.

Nikki Kenter
Vice President
With fourteen years of experience, Nikki Kenter is a seasoned homeschooler. She has three children, two of whom have graduated from homeschooling; one is pursuing a bachelor’s degree and the other is in medical school. She earned a B.S. in Biology from the University of Texas at Arlington and is currently working on a M.A. in History from Harvard Extension School. Nikki is a passionate advocate for homeschooling.

Hosai Mojaddidi
Board Member
Hosai Mojaddidi is a speaker, educator, writer, editor, and homeschooling mother of two. Ustadha Hosai, has served the Muslim community for the past twenty years as a spiritual counselor, mentor, teacher, organizer, and mental health advocate. Presently, she holds positions as an instructor at Zaytuna College, Northstar School, Peace Tree Academy, and MCC East Bay. Ustadha Hosai holds a BA in Liberal Studies from California State University Easy Bay. Additionally, Ustadha Hosai is actively engaged as a social media content creator, sharing her knowledge and insights with the Muslim community.
